Mott the Hoople, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders, Mike Oldfield, The Guillemots, Robert Plant, Underworld and Dodgy all have something in common. They are all inextricably linked to Hereford and Worcester.

In designing this social media community website for the BBC we have created an interactive mapping application which traces forty years of the regions rich musical heritage. With amazing stories of rock legends playing small village pubs, sound bites pictures and video. User generated content is key and users are invited to share their stories and memories on the website. If you saw the Beatles play the Riverside Dancing Club in Tenbury Wells, The Rolling Stones at the Gaumont in Worcester or went to school with Kidderminster’s Robert Plant go to our website and add your stories.

Digital Community

Digital Central is an Advantage West Midlands project focusing on the screen media cluster. Working with a number of industry partners the site is set to become an exciting social media support network containing opportunities for companies in this sector. The site features social media feeds, video blogs, pod casts and micro blogging together with quality editorial and user generated content. Community management is centralised via an open source CMS.

BBC spring clean your relationships

We launched a creative online campaign, and website design for the BBC promoting their Spring Clean Your Relationships features on BBC local radio. A series of animated advertising banners have been designed to drive traffic from local news, finance and lifestyle sites to BBC local radio websites.

On these BBC sites we have created an interactive quiz application in association with the counselling service Relate. Based upon a series of animals that we designed and illustrated, the visitor answers a series of profiling questions to learn how they relate to others.

Fresh from our rock and roll project we have now gone very mellow designing a social media community website for Jazz legends Andy Hamilton and the Bluenotes. Get to know the musicians by reading their blogs, check out their gig calendar and see them live. Then give them performance feedback, they would love to hear from you.
